Remerge utilizes the AppsFlyer Android click tracking link to achieve the following goals:
- Ensure the most optimal user experience.
- Notify AppsFlyer of a user click driven by a Remerge ad.
The below guide takes you through the process of Android tracking link generation with AppsFlyer to accommodate both the Retargeting and User Acquisition campaign strategies. Please follow the instructions that correspond with your respective campaign strategy. In case of any questions, reach out to your Remerge Account Manager.
Please note: A Retargeting attribution link can be re-purposed for a User Acquisition campaign, but NOT the other way around.
1. Create your Remerge Tracking Link
- Log in to your AppsFlyer account.
- Select your app.
- Go to the left-hand corner of the dashboard and select Configurations > Integrated Partners > Remerge > Attribution link tab.
- Select the attribution tracking link type as displayed below. This option applies to both the Retargeting and User Acquisition campaign strategies.
* You may skip the Attribution link parameters section, as the required standardized list of parameters and values (e.g., clickid={clickid}) will be automatically populated in AppsFlyer's User Interface.
2. Define Campaign Strategy
- Retargeting Campaign:
- Toggle ON the Retargeting settings option to activate your Retargeting campaign attribution link. Once activated, AppsFlyer will append the is_retargeting=true tracking parameter to the target URL.
- Enter your URI scheme in its respective field as displayed below. Ideally, enter the path to your exact in-app you would like to promote with the campaign, which will use this tracking link. Once entered, AppsFlyer will populate the af_dp=parameter in the Remerge attribution tracking link.
* Do NOT toggle the Ignore active users for retargeting option.
3. Customize Campaign Windows
- Select the attribution windows that support your campaign's strategy.
- Retargeting Campaign:
- Go to the Re-engagement window and set the time frame of the in-app events that should be attributed to Remerge (e.g., 30 days) as displayed below. Upon completion, AppsFlyer will populate the &af_reengagement_window=x tracking link parameter with your value of choice.

- Retargeting & User Acquisition Campaigns:
- Go to the Click-through lookback window and set the bar to your preferred time frame as displayed below. Upon completion, AppsFlyer will populate the &af_click_lookback=x tracking link parameter with your value of choice.
- Below is an example of a final Remerge Click Attribution Tracking Link. Ensure your attribution tracking link includes the pid=remerge_int parameter (Remerge identifier) in the tracking link before submitting it to Remerge.
- Go to the View-through lookback window and set the bar to your preferred time frame as displayed below. Upon completion, AppsFlyer will populate the &af_viewthrough_lookback=x tracking link parameter with your value of choice.
- Below is an example of a final Remerge Impression Attribution Tracking Link. Ensure your attribution tracking link includes the pid=remerge_int parameter (Remerge identifier) before submitting it to Remerge.
- Save your newly created attribution tracking links by clicking on the Save Attribution link button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
- Go to the Click-through lookback window and set the bar to your preferred time frame as displayed below. Upon completion, AppsFlyer will populate the &af_click_lookback=x tracking link parameter with your value of choice.
- Retargeting Campaign:
4. Share your Remerge Attribution Links with Remerge
- Forward your newly generated Remerge Attribution Tracking Links to your Remerge Account Manager.
