The One-Time List Import method is a unique option that clients may employ to provide Remerge with their Historical Data.
This process is neither automated nor recurring by nature but rather case-specific. For your convenience, we have gathered a list of cases in which you may utilize One-Time List Imports:
- You need to add users to the targeted user pool during the initial onboarding phase.
- Historical data transfer from your Mobile Marketing Partner.
- Upload of test/control audiences.
- Creation of exclusion user lists (i.e., users you wish to refrain from targeting).
- Creation of segmentation user lists (e.g., whale users or users that have completed an event more than once).
- You wish to target users with historical user-specific revenue data.
- You need to retrieve historical event-specific data to facilitate correct retargeting segmentation (e.g., unique events such as previous "first deposit" or "registration").
Ensure to share the following guidelines, file requirements, and examples with the responsible party in charge of data processing in your organization. In case of any questions, please reach out to your Remerge Account Manager.
1. Create your Importing User List
- Generate a unique importing user list per application (i.e., a user list for Android and a user list for iOS).
- The First Row should consist of the following data:
- First Column - "device_id" (ALWAYS).
- The Rest of the Columns - Audience Event Attributes Names.
- Use underscores and avoid spaces upon entering your Attribute Names in each column (e.g., device_id, last_af_purchase, and total_revenue). Reach out to your Remerge Account Manager should you require support with the addition of event data.
- The Second Row should consist of content formats such as:
- ID - IDFA / GAID (NO IDFV).
- Date - A common timestamp format is ISO 8601 (e.g., 2018-01-08T13:42:57+01:00). That said, in case you are unable to provide the full timestamp, you may input the date in a YYYY-MM-DD timestamp format.
- String - Any text value (e.g., Event Name, Source Network).
- Number - Please note: Revenue should be sent as micro currency and thus contain NO decimals (e.g., $3,000.00 = 3000000000).
- Unix - Unix timestamps.
- The Third Row onwards should consist of the actual user data you wish to upload.
- The First Row should consist of the following data:
- Upon completion, save your spreadsheet as a CSV file. Ensure to label the file clearly for Remerge to identify, ingest, and associate your list with the corresponding audience segment and campaign.
