Below is supplementary documentation to our FAQ concerning the SKAdNetwork methodology as it pertains to Remerge. In case of any further questions, please reach out to your Remerge Account Manager.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. I am interested in running a SKAdNetwork-based campaign with Remerge. What should be my first step?
We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with you on a SKAdNetwork-based campaign! Below you may find a list of Mobile Measurement Partners that promote the SKAdNetwork framework.
Please integrate the SKAdNetwork API into your app by following your respective Mobile Measurement Partner's step-by-step instructions. For more information or in case of additional questions, visit SKAdNetwork-Based Attribution or reach out to your Remerge Account Manager.
2. Are you prepared to run with Apple's SKAdNetwork technology?
Yes, indeed we are. Remerge has already registered with Apple for the SKAdNetwork framework and obtained its respective Remerge SKAdNetwork ID: 2u9pt9hc89.skadnetwork.
3. What SKAdNetwork versions do you support?
Our technology is compatible with SKAdNetwork versions 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 3.0, and 4.0.
4. What data do you forward to my Mobile Measurement Partner as part of Apple's install-validation postback notification?
We enrich the install-validation postback notification with the Remerge Campaign ID and Remerge Campaign Name information (along with Conversion Value and Source App ID upon availability from Apple) and forward said data to your respective Mobile Measurement Partner.
5. Each Apple's install validation postback notification is subject to a maximum of 100 Campaign ID values. Does tracking these values fall under my responsibility?
Great news! The Campaign ID value range does NOT call for any action steps on your end. Upon the arrival of Apple's install-validation postback notification, we map out and assign unique identifiers to your respective campaigns while ensuring to stay within the mentioned range.
6. Is conversion value definition a prerequisite for a Remerge SKAdNetwork-based campaign?
Conversion value definition is NOT part of SKAdNetwork-based campaign prerequisites but rather an optional step you may take, as its elimination does NOT hinder attribution capabilities. Furthermore, avoiding the Conversion value configuration altogether shortens the install-validation postback notification time window.
7. I have resolved to implement the conversion value definition option. Is your platform equipped to accommodate said option?
Yes, Remerge is happy to accommodate this option. The following is a top-level overview of the Conversion Value journey:
Apple notifies Remerge of the Conversion Value -> Remerge forwards said value to your Mobile Measurement Partner -> Your Mobile Measurement Partner converts the Conversion Value to your previously set value and displays it in their dashboard.
However, the availability of said data is pending compliance with the below requirements:
- The Conversion Value event MUST take place within the below specified time frames:
- 24-hour post app launch, or;
- 24-hour post the latest Conversion Value update.
- The number of device users to have reached the Conversion Value event meets (surpasses) Apple's Privacy Threshold requirements.
8. What is your position on ID-based retargeting campaigns?
Great question! Remerge maintains its capability for a deterministic (Device ID-based) retargeting campaign as it pertains to your Android apps and iOS apps (ATT OPTed-IN device users ONLY). Upon need, please reach out to your Remerge Account Manager to establish whether the volume of your (ATT OPTed-IN) iOS device users warrants a retargeting campaign.
Nevertheless, Remerge does not advocate for the SKAdNetwork technology as a measurement tool of deterministic retargeting campaigns for the following reasons:
- Impaired UX (User Experience) - The iOS device user is redirected to the App Store instead of the Advertiser's app.
- Limited Attribution Options - Attribution applies to re-installs ONLY (NOT re-engagements).
9. Do you facilitate SKAdNetwork-based Click-Through-Attribution?
Yes, we do! Remerge supports SKAdNetwork-based Click-Through-Attribution via the StoreKit-Rendered ads.
10. Do you facilitate SKAdNetwork-based View-Through-Attribution?
Yes, we do! Remerge supports SKAdNetwork-based View-Through-Attribution.
11. I am a Publisher eager to utilize Apple's SKAdNetwork technology. May I add the Remerge SKAdNetwork ID to my info.plist file?
Yes, you may. Furthermore, we encourage you to complete this step.
Please note:
The integration of the SKAdNetwork ID (Remerge ID: 2u9pt9hc89.skadnetwork) into your source app's plist file and configuring your app to work with Apple's SKAdNetwork framework are instrumental to your ability to take part in the SKAdNetwork-based attribution methodology. Failing to complete this step excludes your Ad inventory from the bidding process by default. For your convenience, we have compiled an overview of SKAdNetwork IDs from various Ad Networks.
12. Can you ensure my Remerge-specific campaign traffic is exclusively limited to publishers that meet the SKAdNetwork framework requirements?
Yes, this is a solution we may enable on your behalf. Please explore said option with your Remerge Account Manager in your SKAdNetwork-based campaign configuration discussion.
