The following document is our step-by-step guide to send postbacks from AppsFlyer to Remerge. Please follow the instructions, and in case of any questions, reach out to your Remerge Account Manager.
1. Activate Partner
Sign in to AppsFlyer. From the startup page, type the name of your app into the search bar and click the app of your choice. From the left sidebar click Partner Marketplace, locate Remerge, and click Manage integration.
Go to the Integration tab and toggle ON the Activate partner option.
In case of an iOS App make sure that Advanced Privacy (for iOS 14.5+ and later) is turned OFF and Share SKAN transaction ID is turned ON.
For Install attribution we recommend to set engaged click-through and engaged view-through attribution window to 2 days. Switch on Install view-through attribution. Remerge supports engaged clicks and engaged views for more information we refer to the following AppsFlyer Article.
For Re-engagement attribution we recommend to set engaged click-through and engaged view-through attribution window to 2 days. Switch on Re-engagement view-through attribution. Remerge supports engaged clicks and engaged views for more information we refer to the following AppsFlyer Article.
2. Verify App Settings
- Ensure your app settings meet your strategic campaign needs. Switch on Enable View-Through, Enable retargeting attribution, and set your Minimum time between re-engagement conversions to None.
If you decide for a different default Minimum time between re-engagement conversions window please share screenshots of the Minimum time between re-engagement conversions with your Remerge Account Manager prior to launch.
3. Configure Default Postbacks
Go to the Sending option drop-down menu and select All media sources, including organic, with a Lifetime postback window. This option lets you share with Remerge all postback data, which includes Remerge-attributed, unattributed, and organic data.
4. Toggle on In-app Postbacks
Be sure to toggle on In-app event postbacks. You must select an option for In-app event window to specify for how long postbacks are sent to Remerge following install, reattribution or re-engagement. For In-app event window, we recommend choosing Lifetime to ensure that In-app event postbacks are always sent to Remerge for optimizing your campaigns.
Next select Send all events (excludes uninstalls and sessions) and All media sources, including organic to send Remerge all postback data, which includes Remerge-attributed, unattributed, and organic data for campaign optimization.
If you are looking to run campaigns optimized for events that aren't included in this option (e.g., app open), select Add manually and Add event instead to add events to track.
Go to the SDK event name column and add the relevant in-app event postbacks as instructed and displayed below.
Event names are case-sensitive. Therefore, please start by entering the relevant event name and selecting it from the drop-down menu. Doing so ensures proper integration (e.g., if you have already configured an event name titled af_purchase, AppsFlyer's interface will automatically locate it in its system upon typing the letters af_pur).
Include the af_app_opened event.
We recommend selecting the Values & revenue option from the Send revenue drop-down menu.
AppsFlyer provides a list of recommended events by vertical. Remerge's model optimizes based on the type, quantity and quality of your in-app events.
Upon completion, click the Save Integration button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.

5. Grant Agency Permissions
If you are an agency, follow the (same) listed above steps for partner activation and postback configuration. For further support, please refer to AppsFlyer's guide. Once done, AppsFlyer's interface will automatically add the parameter af_prt=agencyname to your Attribution Link. It is very important to share the Attribution Link with the af_prt parameter in it with your Remerge Account Manager.
6. Finalize & Confirm Setup
Send a screenshot of the App Configuration and Minimum time between re-engagement conversions page to your Remerge Account Manager to confirm the completion of the above steps and the reception of postbacks.
