The following document provides insight into the process of the Classic CTA and VTA scenarios with Remerge. In case of any questions, please reach out to your Remerge Account Manager.
CTA Scenario
(Click To Re-Engagement Attribution Window Timeframe: 7 Days)
(Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window Timeframe: 30 Days)
1. Ad Display
The publisher app displays the ad network's (Remerge) ad that promotes your (advertiser) app.
2. Click To Re-Engagement Attribution Window Activation
Day 1 (2022-01-01): A prospective device user clicks on the displayed ad, thus activating the (7- Day) Click To Re-Engagement Attribution Window.
3. Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window Activation
Day 3 (2022-01-03): Said device user launches (opens) the (advertiser) app, thus fulfilling the previously active (7-Day) Click To Re-Engagement Attribution Window requirement and activating the (30-Day) Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window.
4. Event Generation & Forwarding
Day 3 (2022-01-03), Day 19 (2022-01-19), Day 31 (2022-01-31), Day 37 (2022-02-06): The device user completes a purchase.
Remerge is notified of all of the above in-app activity on behalf of the app user (i.e., purchases) in REAL-TIME.
5. Match & Attribution
Remerge monitors said activity. In the presence of a (device ID-based) match between the user and the generated in-app event/s WITHIN the predefined (30 Day) Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window for the advertiser in question, we attribute said events to Remerge.
In our example, the (30 Day) Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window is activated on Day 3 (2022-01-03). To that effect, all of the events generated within the scope of the Day 3-Day 32 timeframe (i.e., 2022-01-03, 2022-01-19, and 2022-01-31) are attributed to Remerge.
However, an event generated on Day 37 (2022-02-06) can NO longer be attributed to Remerge, as it occurs outside the scope of the (30 Day) Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window timeframe.

VTA Scenario

1. Ad Display
The publisher app displays the ad network's (Remerge) ad that promotes your (advertiser) app.
2. View To Re-Engagement Attribution Window Activation
Day 1 (2022-01-01): A prospective device user views the displayed ad, thus activating the (24-Hour) View To Re-Engagement Attribution Window.
3. Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window Activation
Day 2 (2022-01-02): Said device user launches (opens) the (advertiser) app, thus fulfilling the previously active (24-Hour) View To Re-Engagement Attribution Window requirement and activating the (30-Day) Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window.
4. Event Generation & Forwarding
Day 3 (2022-01-03), Day 19 (2022-01-19), Day 31 (2022-01-31), Day 37 (2022-02-06): The device user completes a purchase.

- The duration of the Re-Engagement To Event Attribution Window timeframe remains the same irrespective of said event's source (i.e., view or click). Accordingly, Remerge can accept ONE value ONLY.
